We are a school that welcomes children from all backgrounds and of all abilities. The level of ability or any special educational need that a child may have plays no part in the admissions policy of the school. The only restriction we place on entry is that of number; year on year the school is oversubscribed.
Clare House is part of the Langley Park Academies Multi Academy Trust and adheres to the admissions arrangements set out by Langley Park Academies who are the ‘Admissions Authority’. Bromley Admissions manage the admissions process for all applications to Clare House Primary School in accordance with the DfE Schools Admission Code. This includes applications for sixty Reception places, the four additional Year 3 places and also any ‘in year’ vacancies that occasionally arise.
Applications, therefore, cannot be made directly to the school. Bromley admissions team process all applications for families who are Bromley residents. Information on the admissions procedure can be found by clicking on this link. Or by viewing the 2017/2018 Bromley Admissions Policy at: Bromley Admissions Policy. If you live outside of Bromley you must apply through your own local authority.
The 2018/2019 admissions arrangements appear in the attachment below.
Admission Appeals Arrangements 2017-18
Parents/ Carers wishing to appeal against the decision not to offer their child a place at Clare House Primary School should put their grounds for appeal in writing direct to the school. A form for doing this can be found below.
Please note that the school has already filled its sixty Reception Class places for 2017-18 and as a result, appeals for Reception can only be considered on the following grounds:
a) that the child would have been offered a place if the admission arrangements had been properly implemented.
b) that the decision was not one which a reasonable admission authority would make in the circumstances of the case.
